5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
It probably won't be an easy swap. First of all, the 02-04's have headlights where the DRL's and the highbeams are the same bulb. In the 05's, the DRL's and the highbeams are separate and use their own bulbs. To swap 04 headlights with 05, expect do work on the wiring. The size of the 02-04 headlights might also be different from the 05's because of the added bulb and the refreshed grill.
No, the size are the same, as for the wirings, there's no difference. My dad has the 03-04 Camry and I have the 05' Camry. I've checked. The headlights are the same size. The bulbs in other hands, are switched around. The turning signal bulb are now towards the inside of the headlights not like the 03-04 Camry which has it on the outside. As for the DRL and highbeams are in the same place. If you don't believe me, you can contact your local toyota dealers.

Do you know for sure that you can swap 05 headlights into 04?
I did. It tried it with my Dad's 03-04 Camry and I my 05' Camry. I switched it to see if it'll fit, and yes, it's a exact fit. *Of course, I took it off and put it back on my camry* I like the new headlight design.

ok, thanks...BTW did you try to switch the grille to see if you can switch that? it doesn't seem it would fit but I didn't think the headlights would either since they seem a bit sleeker
It seems that way huh? Actually, it looks sleeker because of the three front bulbs in front. But, it should fit. Same measure and bolt on fit. The grill in other hand....not sure, haven't tried and I'm not gonna to.....it should fit. The Front bumper of the car haven't changed much in dimension.

Yup. They're not as much. Only $129 (it can differ at other dealers) THe taillights in the other hand, they're pricey. You would rather buy the TRD Exhaust instead of the taillights.
