i don't think i'd ever drive a hybrid. where i live in NY gas prices are dropping as we speak, it gets lower by the week.

The Gen 6 Camry won't be out for at least 2 more years to give a decent Generation gap. The models just changed over, they won't redesign this soon.
As for the Hybrid Camry... It will either keep the same body style, or it will take on a more aerodynamic body style (much like the Prius or Civic Hyrbid). A more aerodynamic body style is very likely considering the gained mileage from reducing drag. Probably just some minor changes. Maybe a little less tall.

wondering why you wouldn't buy a hybrid. not all of them will be like the honda insight or prius. (slow and boring to drive.)
take the new accord hybrid. the normal V6 is 240hp. the hybrid accord v6 is 255hp. you get better gas mileage AND better performance. that's a win-win situation
i'd say bring on the camry/solara hybrid. i'd get one

I know what you mean but I think we all know this is just a temporary price drop. Gas just isn't one of those things that could get a price cut for an extended period of time.
But how much more would the hybrid cost than the regular Camry?
BTW: Solaras are north american car only. From discussions at solaraguy, they have been exported to: Poland (i think), Russia, India and United Arab Emirates (<-- home 2 me).
I'd surely get a hybrid camry provided they weren't too highly priced like the next gen avalon..cus then i'd rather get that than the camry!
^
The Avalan's price is for the Avalan. It's a more luxurious car than the Camry. Hense cost more
I assume it will be priced fairly in the same range as it is now. Seeing as that's about the same price range as a Prius.
2k4CamThrilla: I don't see why you wouldn't still buy a Hybrid even though gas prices are low... You would still be spending $10+ less a week on gas. And still not have to fill up as often. What benifits are lost by the gas price going down?
They're the perfect daily driver. I'd buy one for sure if I had the money. Can't beat 40+mpg
