Car jerks/hesitates when coasting

I am the original owner of a 2002 Camry V6. Recently when you take the foot off the gas to coast or just maintain speed there is a sensation of jerking- it disappears as soon as you accelerate. Took it to Toyota dealership- they were clueless- they wanted to change the transmission fluid. Anyone help?

I might suspect the EGR valve. Same thing has been happening on my wife's saturn and I just replaced it and the trouble seems to have disappeared. I would start with a good tune up though and change the plugs and plug wires. If it persists, I would look at the EGR. You can do a thorough cleaning and usually that will correct the issue. In my case, I had to buy another EGR valve, but I got a slightly used one from Ebay for a fraction of a new one.
