Questions about lights for Gen 5.5 owners

I'm thinking about replacing my headlights and taillights with those from a Gen 5.5 and want to know if it's worth it, depending on how much better they look and work. First, for the headlights, what is the light on the outside, and what color is it? I've heard that it is a second turn signal light, and if so, is it on when the parking lights are on? I know that the light on the inside is the turn signal and the other two are the high and low beams. Are the DRL's still the high beams?

For the taillights, is it just turn signal, brake, and backup going from top to bottom, or is there more to it? By that I mean are they clearly separated into each of the 3 sections when they are in use or does something like a light turns on in the turn signal part when the brakes are on? Thanks in advance!

drl, brights, low beam, turn signal(not sure in the right order) everything fits but the grille was told the grille will need a minor alteration. By the end of this month i'm going to order 05' head and tail lights....
