Question Camry 2002 - How to remove the climate control panel?

I have a problem with my A/C button on my climate control panel. It does not click anymore and it works from time to time. It also does not go deep as the other two buttons go. The A/C dial works fine. I'm trying to open it but I do not know how. How I can take off the climate control pannel? It is manual one with the three dials and the buttons whitin them. Do I have to take off the pannel at all or there is a way to pop off the button only?

This has been mentioned before, but simply take a flathead screwdriver and pop off the panel at about an inch or two from each top corner.

Thank you!
I have searched but I could not find any threads explaining that.

But I'm a little bit confused.

I guess I have to apply the screwdriwer at the bottom site of the pannel, correct?

I pops of only the climate control or it pops of along with the audio?

I don't know what you mean by the bottom site, but just apply the screwdriver about an inch or two from the top corners of the AC panel. That is where the clips are that hold it in, and no, the audio panel won't come off. It can only come off after you take out the AC panel. Hope this helps!

I see. I was just wondering how I will insert the screwdriver from the top side of the panel because there is no place between the A/C panel and the audio panel. May be I have to insert it from the corners and go an inch or two deep in the panel. Is that it?

Oh, I see what you mean. You have to pry an inch or two down on the sides, not across the top. See my rough drawing:

No problem. Try to use a dull screwdriver or tape the edge if you can so that it won't leave a mark where you're prying. Just do it slowly, and the first time you do it, it might sound like you just broke something, but everything should be ok. Good luck!
