Rayray, thanks for the compliment That is my car

More pics to come soon... trunk install of 3 amps under plexiglass in a false floor, and 2 12" ADS 312rs.2 subs in a fiberglass enclosure on the right side of the trunk.

I also have been modifying my dash area. The Alpine CD player is almost completely converted to blue LED's... only 4 more lights to go. Tomorrow the parts arrive to change the instrument cluster and climate controls to blue as well.

WOW!

Mach_Y,

That is one impressive install! Hey, wanna do mine as well? :P Are you a professional installer? It sure looks like it. Do you know what size stock tweets are in the dash for our car? And I'm surprised to see that we have 6x9s in the doors.

Thanks for your comprehensive install guide.

Wicked!

great job! i try and document my installs too as often as i can so i can appreciate the extra time you spare to take pictures. that's such a great tip to remove the seats to make it easier to move around under the dash and along the trim. and to have everything on hand so that you can do it all at once. i hang out at Home Depot trying to find stuff that i can adapt to the car. i'll have to look out for that PeelnStick stuff.

i tried to make kick panel pods for my old car a couple years back. fibreglass and bondo are hard to work with... takes some practice to mod it before it dries. that's the first time i've heard of the UV bondo that requires no mixing... that would make the job easier. the pods you made look great... who needs expensive Q-Forms?!

can't wait to see more.

Thanks everyone

The peal and seal stuff can be found in the roofing section. It comes in a roll 6 inches wide and 50 feet long for like $14. Works great UV bondo is a SWEET product.

To be honest, this car is the first time I have done my own install. I've done a CD player here, replaced stock speakers with same size ones before, but never anything this extensive. Just did a TON of research and asked a lot of questions before I began. If anyone lives near Tennessee, feel free to drop me a line if you need work done

Anyway, I am off to get more fiberglass... the sub enclosure in the trunk will be molded to the right side of the trunk.

Heh, thanks for caring guys mach_y had referred me to that link a couple days ago. Check out my previous thread, I've got everything installed now. Top-mounting depth WAS an issue, but the installer solved it by putting 3 mounting brackets together I get a little distortion at high volumes... is that a problem caused by my deck or the speakers? I didn't think a stock Toyota deck could overload my MB Quart DKC169's... odd.

If you guys ever need computer help, email me at flowerman@attbi.com or find me at the www.hardforum.com
