5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Does anyone know if the new 2005 grills will fit a 2002 Camry? Or...can anyone recommend an aftermarket grill that looks good on a 2002 Camry SE? The black paint on my grill is peeling off and looks nasty.
The 2005 grills will fit the Gen 5. As far as aftermarket, you can either go with the Vizage or the Trenz Billet grill. <~~ Both of which are ugly in my opinion. The best option as far as grills for the Gen 5 is either to get the Gen 5.5 grills or to order a sportivo grill from australia.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.
Okay, this is a similar question, so I didn't want to start a whole new thread. How hard would it be to install a gen4.5 grill on a gen4? I think they look a lot nicer, and they're not all that expensive.
I BELIEVE, but I may be wrong, that you might have a hard time. I think maybe the hood is a little different? And same with the headlights? So I think you'd need to change all of that... BUT... like I said, I'm just taking a stab at it. I'm not too sure. Haha.

Huh. Well, it's not that different...perhaps a little bigger...I guess I would need to have the area around the grille enlarged, and that sounds like a lot of work. Maybe I should just chrome plate my grille slats? Or take out the grille except for the emblem and do one of the grille mods... Thanks for the help, though. Gen4.5's are a lot more attractive than the gen4 IMO. Perhaps even the most attractive Camry yet. But that's just me.
