5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I recently bought a set of Eibach Pro Kit Springs for my Car (2004 Camry SE). I have a problem. My friend started the installation and he says the Front Springs are TOO wide for my car, proposing they are the incorrect springs. Indeed they are. They are for a 96-01 Camry, but the buyer advertised them as 02-04 applicable. Now he says the ID of the Springs 8249.140 applies to GEN 5 camrys as well.
Does anyone with a GEN 5 Camrys have Eibach Springs? If so will these springs fit on my car? If my friend installing them wrong or right???
I belive gen 4 springs will only go up to 02 cars, and they would have to be i4. The gen 5 (04-05) springs are tappered on the bottom. And the gen 4 up to 03 are not. So there is no way it would fit on your 04. Maybe there is, but thats probably what your friend was talking about,.
^^ These two guys are confusing the heck out of me.
A quick visit to the Eibach website shows part # 8249.140 applies to the 97-01 gen 4 as well as 02-03 gen 5. The part # changes in 2004 to 8273.140. So it looks like you may be out of luck. Hopefully you can get the seller to refund you your money.

Dude what are you smoking. I didnt edited anything. I never said 02 was gen 4, i said gen 4 springs may fit up to 02 and i said " I believe" which mean i was not COMPLETELY sure, now i did say that the 02 would have to be an i4 because the springs from gen 4 are for lighter cars.
