Unhappy High Road Noise in 2003 Camry

Purchased new standard 2003 Camry LE in Aug 03. Road noise has been very bad from day one, especially on these new road surfaces in Texas, and other places, where they leave the gravel on the surface. The road noise is even worse than my Ford diesel truck. Talked to dealer, but he was no help. I'm now over 36,000 miles, so out of warranty. I've owned Toyota's since 1972 and this is the first one I've really been unhappy with. Any ideas? Any recommendations for tire replacements? Thanks. Terry

I had a set of Goodyear Integrity 205/65R15 tires before I got my new rims, and with 80% tread left, I was starting to get a lot of road noise on my '02... after rims, my tires are now Fuzion HRi 215/50R17 H rated... and even with the lower profile tire, I get less road noise than I ever did with the Goodyear's... it runs 'real smooth and quiet now.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

I had Goodyear Assurance ComforTreds on my 2000 Camry and they were really quiet. My 2005 Camry has the stock Goodyear Integrity's and they're really noisy. As soon as they wear out a set of ComforTreds is going on. Looks like alot of other people agree.
