2002 V6 Camry won’t idle after battery change\cleaning of terminals.
Hello everybody,
I changed the battery in my 2002 Camry (V6 Auto Transmission) two years ago at 40K. I remember after I did that the car would not idle. I figured it just needed to re-learn my driving patterns Ect.
Seems like it did and every thing has been fine. Last weekend while tuning up the beast I noticed some corrosion starting again on the terminals so I removed and cleaned them (Negative wire first). Now the beast won’t idle again. I have removed and re connected the terminals a few times and have driven over 500 miles and it still won’t idle. I have also left the battery cables off over night also checked for loose wires and connections. Any ideas on how to reset the engine-control\computer memory that adjusts the idle air by-pass. Or something along those lines. Chilton’s does not have a manual out for the 2002 Camry yet. Current mileage 82K any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Jimmy
