A mail from Toyota Australia about the 2002 Camry kit

Hey all,

Well, I was very intersting about the bodykit and the high spoiler from Camry Sportivo in Australia, but here is a letter from them:

Dear Mr Chang,

We received your query asking whether you can order the Sportivo Body kit
and High Spoiler that we have for the Australian New Camry, unfortunately
at this stage I have been informed by our Conversions & Accessories
Division that the problem we are dealing with is that the USA Camry is made
from different tooling than the Australian one so we don't know if it will
fit. Our Engineers are working to find this out as the US are interested
in the kit for an LE model they are considering.

O well, hope Toyota USA will start to think about sell them in USA....

It would be a good idea, but considering the low price of the parts in Australia, it may work against Toyota to sell identical parts for more elsewhere, i.e. North America.

refuring to the high spoiler on Oz sportivo is it the high arch style or minimal arch as the high arch is hard to obtain as iam in Oz and cannot find one as to the tooling what a lot of CRAP from what the photo gallery shows it is the same with no difference

HOLY 5 AND A HALF YEAR THREAD REVIVAL! LOL for the fact that even when the 2002 did come out, it was still difficult as hell to get the body kit.. i bet know its practically impossible..
