Just picked up an '09 LE V-6 and wanting to add XM.
I've researched this many different ways and it doesn't look like any of the Toyota OEM or "universal" kits that integrate with the "non-sat-ready" Fujitsu Ten radio will work, so I'm thinking of going with an old-school car kit. Since there's an aux-in, there's no need for an FM modulator so I thought the sound might be decent.
Does anyone have a recommendation for an XM kit? Something you've installed and it doesn't look really ghetto hanging off the console?
Thanks! Carl

Yup, definitely leaning towards the Onyx. Good reviews on Amazon, four stars, and you can't beat the price right now ($11 including one month of service).
Hate the "tacked-on" look though, but, not much in the way of satellite options for an 09. I guess what I'm looking for are creative ideas about mounting, antenna placement, etc.
I went thru this in my '07 .... I installed a Starmate 5 in the flip open console. While I'm thrilled with XM, I'm far less than thrilled with the Startmate 5 .... you can't read the display on the darn thing!
You can install the magnetic antenna in the center of the roof above the rear window and easily get under the gasket to hide the wire. Run the wire under the trunk gasket down lower and notch the lip under the gasket, don't forget to silicone the entrance or you will get a trunkful of water. The antenna wire will be just long enough to make it along the passender side, up under the carpet, and up into the removable piece in the console.
I cut a 1/4" piece of plexiglass to fit iflat on the floorof the console compartment and fastened the mount that came with the radio. The console has a power and the AUX jack ... it worked out real nice if you don't mind losing a little bit of storage space.
You definately don't want to use the FM transmitter, the static and the need to change stations to find a clear one will drive you insane, not to mention that the sound quality is lowsy.
Sorry for the delay in responding to your post. If you have any specific questions about the radio you purchased or how to set it up, let us know by sending us email to sxm_help@siriusxm.com and we'll be in touch.
