I have a quick question guys. My aunt has a 2010 Camry that last year I had HIDs installed in it. Today the hids stopped working. I borrowed her car to go on a 1k mile road trip since her car is auto and now only the highbeams work. My question is can I put low beam bulbs in place of the highbeams bulbs so that I'm not blinding everyone until I can get back to NY? Is this something that's possible?
Thanks in advance..I know it sounds like a dumb question :x

Damn. I took it by this shop to have regular bulbs replace the hids but the guy said that some plug was missing and it couldn't be done. I guess the shop that installed the hids did some weird shit??:disappoin
Since you're on a road trip, you may not have time to spot the problem. I assume you're not doing a retrofit, so you should buy new halogen bulbs and put them back. I don't think rebased xenon bulbs are easy to find in a local store.
Putting low beam bulbs in the high beam position will still blind people. Just because the luminous intensity is lower doesn't mean the light output is aimed lower.
