I have a 09 Camry and bought a 6 year/75 warrantee in December 011 with 33k on the car(the inservice date must have been december 08). I am selling the car, can I get a prorated refund for the unused prortion? How do you calculate it? Thank You
I do not know if you can get a refund for the unused portion (I suspect not, but I don't know this for a fact), BUT - I believe the warranty can be transferred to a new owner for a small fee. Therefore, if there is a significant amount of time left on the warranty, you could also use it as a feature for a potential new buyer. I know if I bought a used car from an individual I did not know, getting an official Toyota warranty as part of the deal would be a great selling point, and might be worth a few hundred dollars extra on the sale price. Have you considered this?
