Just wondering what mileage owners are REALLY getting with this vehicle....I have a order in for a 07 V6, but wonder about changing to the hybrid...Also have a 2000 rebate from the government , so it does make it attractive...
I picked up my Camry Hybrid on 5/5/06. So far I'm AVERAGING 38.1MPG
Details are on GreenHybrid.com as well as a lot of discussion on the Edmunds forums. I just joined this one today when I saw your post.
In addition to the $2600 Fed Tax Credit, I will get a $3750 State Cax Credit, That puts my loaded ($30,589) TCH at under $24,000 "real" cost to me. The $170 savings per month in gas and $200 savings per month in car payment (over the FX45 I was driving) makes this a great buy for me.
UPDATE 10/25/06 Over 14,500 miles and averaging 39.63mpg
What has been your mix of city and highway driving?
Have you carried any heavy passenger loads yet?
Bob

Greenhybrid has a database which shows the mileage of about 80 persons to date with the TCH. You can extract from it effects of driving distance and effects of hills on mileage.
My commute is approximately 9 miles one way with 16 lights/stop signs and my speed limit varies from 25mph to 55mph. I had my TCH for 1 month and have over 600 miles and I am getting 31.8 mpg and that's with changing my driving techniques according to all the advices I've read on how to drive a hybrid. I was hoping for at least 35, but I'm still in the break in period. Hopefully the mpg will increase after I've hit the 1000 mile marker.
I'm in heavily urbanized Boston and I am getting around 35-36. I am still in the break in period. I have noticed the more I drive it in the city the higher the mileage goes. For short <2 mile trips, the mileage is pretty sucky.
I am in the break in period as well, only had it since last Friday and i'm averaging about 31 mpg according to the meter reading. I drive 8 miles to work with 6 redlights, and 3 stop signs on the way. I have had 3 people in it and it felt the exact same power wise.
I've only had my 2007 Camry Hybrid for 1 week. I drive about 15 miles each way to work (10 miles freeway @ 70 mph). I'm still on the first tank and am averaging 35.2 mpg. So far I love the ride and am pleased with the power.
I just picked up my Camry Hybrid last Friday. I've put about 350 miles on it since then and the MPG gauage says I'm getting 39.1 MPG. I'm waiting to fill the tank and zero the odometer to do the real math. If you believe the car's computer, the hybrid is everything it's cracked up to be. MPG aside, this is a great car. I think I've sold about 4 of them to my co-workers and friends who have ridden in it.
I've had my TCH for 8 days. Up until yesterday I was just going back and forth to work.. 5 miles each way and other short trips. My registered MPG was 34.4.
Yesterday I made a 200 mile trip.. part Interstate and part back roads. I filled up before I started back. The last 100 miles rang up 43.6 MPG. Part of the route was at 70-75 MPH. Most of it was at 55-60.
Too cool.
I just filled up my tank for the first time. Put in 13.5 gals. If the tank was completely full when I left the lot, I drove 514 miles on that 13.5 gals. for 38 MPG. Not bad. But I doubt the tank was completely full. I drive 70 miles round trip every day, from Mid Manhattan to White Plains. So half of my trip is slow city driving and half is highway. My in-car fuel consumption gauge says I'm getting 40+ MPG. I'm thrilled with 38. So far this car has exceeded my expectations by a mile.
