Tinting 07 Camry Hybrid

I've been hearing alot of good things about FormulaOne Pinnacle series, but the lowest price I have gotten was $305 for all windows. I live in So Cal. Any one have any recommendations for shops? Is this tint brand worth the price? If not what other non metallic tint brands do you recommend?

I just had this put on mine. I like it so far. Did what I needed it too. Doesn't interfere with my antenna's etc. I didn't want the cheap non-metallic because they didn't have a dark enough to put on the rear windows. Actually only reason I got it over the cheaper. I would use a good reputable shop though and not just go with whomever is cheaper.

Can't recommend anybody as I'm in TX

Clarification

Any good tint i.e. Llumar, 3M, etc are metallic. Non-metallic=dyed purple tint. Most people confuse the term "metallic" with mirror tint which is completely different. Go with metallic. Jon.
p,s, the most I've paid in MD for tint is $180

The one he is talking about is the ceramic tint. Cuts heat a lot more than any of the metallic too and it isn't the regular "purple dyed ones"

Actually most companies don't use dyes anymore...
good tint doesn't mean its metallic. Good tint should come in different varieties such as METALLIC and NON METALLIC, or high performance and non reflective tint. the main difference in tints are color. IF you want to go in depth then you can..but i would suggeest to look for something that is not dyed like everyone else stated, and go with a reputable shop who can warranty their work.

I'm no expert, but I did some research before having my 07 tinted. I chose Llumar. I did 50% on two front windows and 15 on the rear. I am completely satisfied. Whoever you choose, make sure that when they do the tinting that they run the tint all the way to top of window (side windows). Alot of places leave a margin at the top because it's easier.

The center light is not flush with the rear windshield. There enough of a gap that they can slide the tint down and use a tool to squeegie it.

A lot of places DON'T run it to the top of the window because your chances of eventually snagging and peeling up the tint are much greater. There should be 1/8" edge before the tint starts on the window.

Not according to the real pros. If the tint would peel off at the top, it will peel off with the 1/8 edge. The tint is baked on. You would have a difficult enought time trying to pry it off. In the likely event it did peel, that is warranted so it would be replaced. The other thing is to pick a shop that's been in business awhile (mine has been around 10 yrs). Here's one good link to tinting (there're others) http://www.tintcenter.com/articles/bt_shops.html Pay attention to #3 toward the end.

The Shop I went to was California Tint in Rosemead.
They have been in business for 10 years now.
Checked them out at BBB
http://www.labbb.org/BBBWeb/Forms/Bu...6&sm=#Contacts

Large customer basis. Always busy.

While waiting for my car to be worked on I spoke with some other customers about the shop. They had nothing but great things to say about the shop. They gave me lifetime warranty. So I have confidence in them. My GF got her car tinted there as well on her 325i. They gave her a discount because I told them I had gone there the week before.

My tint cost was $130, my GF was $110.

Oh well I must have been spending the last 15 years using the "fake pros".....

Glad YOU found the real deal though...

I have a 2007 LE and am thinking of having it tinted soon. Has anyone heard of any reception problems with the radio since the antenna is in the rear windshield?
