Jasper Pearl Hybrid!!

Hello. I just picked-up my new Jasper Pearl Hybrid Camry yesterday! It's a Bisque int. base plus floormats/trunk net -- exactly the config. I wanted! Dealer had it in stock on Friday and we test-drove it on Saturday. Debated making a purchase offer until Wednesday morning -- wife and I couldn't stand to spend 4 hours at a dealer haggling... so that was the delay. We were shocked to hear that the car was still there on Wednesday! No one else had test-drove or planned to purchase the car since the weekend. Looks like this actually worked to our advantage. it's first-come-first-serve there.

Dealer fleet director was a pleasure to deal with -- exceedingly rare in this industry. I never have paid sticker ever for a vehicle in the last 18 years of care ownership and five new cars! This car was probably the most difficult negotiation ever! So. Cal. market is dictating FULL Sticker on these puppies. Many are fully loaded with Navi/leather. Paying 30+ is hideous for a car! The dealer budged and I got a "good" deal. He enjoyed dealing with a professional "family fleet director" who knew practically more about the car and buying process than most salesstaff and experienced buyers.

In the end, I got the car for under MSRP! Right day and time, right color (odd), and right approach. Complemented dealer on high BBB rating (AA) and they really appreciated it. Drove away very happy. The third salesguy was happy too! Earth happy also! Pleasure to be on this board. Yes, I like Mazda's too!

UPDATE: 200 miles and one week later, the TCH is operating excellently! Not a single minor/major problem to report! Car is very entertaining to drive... not sportly... but smooth and pleasurable!
