I understand the new Camry is XM + Sirius Ready. Are there any other items needed (dealer installed options)to activate it? If so what are the added costs?

Is one better off getting it from the dealer or aftermarket in Best Buy?

I went with the factory kit which I found on line with a discount Toyota dealer. Then had it installed by a car audio shop in Laurel. They like to stay factory to protect the warranty. Dealer wanted $800. Parts & labor ran $400.and it took about a hour and a half to install, works great and nothing hanging out.You do have the radio with the XM button on the right side correct ? If not you will need a TECK kit plus some other parts .Good luck Sgt Tip 07 SE V6.

To answer your question, you have to have the antenna and modulator installed. The modulator plugs into the radio, so you can control everything using the radio. If an Toyota Dealer does this for you, ask for the activation code to get your first 3 months for free. $595 is the norm, installed.
