If I happen to have the car outside this winter on a 40 below night, what happens if I start the car to warm it up, and go inside with the "key"? Will the ICE run as needed to keep the charge up and warm the car up? Or with the key not in the vehicle, will the security system prevent the ICE / hybrid components from running normally?
Also, it may have been on a different forum, but thought I had read about others with a squeek in the center console - along with method to resolve?
Thanks!

Once you start the car as normal, if you leave the car with the key fob in your pocket, the ICE will continue to run. In fact, the entire car remains on completely, not just the ICE. This can be a problem if you are running only on battery. That is why the car will beep at you a few times to remind you that the car is still on.
As far as the center console squeek, the self-fix is discussed here in ToyotaNation in the Gen5/6 forum (because this is not a TCH specific proglem, it is with all 2007 Camry), and also on the GreenHybrid forum.
