Basslink

I had a Basslink lying around that I installed in a 300M several years ago. Really didn't like it so I didn't install it in it's successor 300C. I wasn't really impressed with the bass in the TCH, so I decided to install the basslink. Mostly just because I had it laying around. So if you're thinking about this mod and want directions, I can tell you how I did it. If you're just trying to decide, my advice is "DON'T DO IT". The TCH already has 4 subwoofer channels going to the the 6X9s in the front doors and rear deck. These speakers are coaxial with separate subwoofer channels. I'm again completely underwhelmed by the basslink. I let it sit for a few months to see if I grow to appreciate it. If not, I'll remove it.

I'm actually quite impressed by the amount of bass from the NAV/JBL sound system. I find myself turning the bass down a couple of notches from center because it feels too overpowering sometimes.

I also wouldn't want to put more unnecessary things in the already small hybrid trunk

I've had 6", 8", and 10" Bazooka tubes in previous cars and have been impressed by how much bass they put out - if you're looking for a different thing to try, I'd recommend you try a non-powered 6" hooked up to an external amplifier. The built-in amps seem to distort too early. They work best pointed toward the back of the car, not toward the sides.
