2007 Camry Hybrid Sunroof Problem

The sunroof on my Hybrid Camry has started hanging on the car roof as it drops down to slide back. It is so bad the roof actually bends down. It "pops" free and continues to open. However, this week it became so bad I moved the switch back to the close position before it released because I was afraid of severe damage...broken glass or permanately bent roof. A dealer spent 2 days with it...adjusting it forward which resulted in wind noise. So, they sent me home with a bottle of clear lubricant to apply which works until the lubricant dries up. I am taking it back to the purchasing dealer tomorrow. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I took my car to the selling dealer who was able to make the correct adjustment and fix the problem.

I am having exactly the same problem on the 2009 model, it is out of warranty now, Wonder how to get it fixed, searched the internet, seems not so many people having this problem.

I too have this problem with my 2008 TCH. When I purchased the car, I thought the gasket was too high in the rear of the sunroof. I took it to 2 different dealers and they said it looked fine to them. They told me to try wd-400 on the gasket. That did not work. I have to open the soon roof until it bangs against the roof then get out of the car and push down on the glass of the sunroof to make it open.

found the link for this problem, Sunroof "pop" when openingapparently most people says its a maintenance issue with cold weather...I will try grease and see if it works.
