Searched and found nothing. This weekend while showing friends my new TCH , one of them mentioned they heard that if you have both your cell phone and key fob in the same pocket it will screw-up the key fob. The resulting destruction will require you to take the keyless fob to the dealership for recoding with a cost of hundred of dollars.
Both he and his wife couldn't remember if it was Nisson or Toyota , but they thought the report they heard was for the Camry ...
Anyone heard of this and do we need to keep the keyfob away from our cell phones ???

Never heard of that. I know people who do this and they have never had any issues.
There is actually a warning on page 23 of the owner's manual- "Do not keep the electronic key together with products emitting electromagnetic waves such as a cellular phone." (2007 Owner's Manual)
It doesn't destroy the key fob, it interferes. The same thing goes for signals like rfid credit cards at gas stations. As a guess, I bet one thing that could destroy the fob is if you put it on one of those security magnets at check out counters. It is not likely but I have heard of fobs of either losing their coding or the car will not start because the more powerful foreign signal is confusing the car.
So ... Looks like the battery can drain on you... I'd rather not have to use the "keyfob to start button override" for very long so the logic would indicate : have some spare keyfob batteries on hand.
In that regard - I searched for a CR1632 (owner's manual) replacement battery and found two brands :
Energizer (Japan) and Renata (Swiss) and they both run about same price ($1.20 each in five packs - shipped)...
Anyone have experience with these Lithium Batteries and/or recommend one over the other ?
