has anyone had that installed as dealer option or as after market item
how good is it--saw it on some Honda Accord top of the line at a dealership when we were looking--they are supposed to install it on our new 09 TCH Wednesday--I know I probably paid too much but they are doing the areas around the door handles and the locks and I am hoping I can get them to do along the pin-striping at no charge as well
I had it done on our Sienna (aftermarket) and couldn't be happier with it! Used Venture Film-not 3M-and it came out great. Virtually invisible, but really saves the front end especially if you do a lot of freeway driving etc.
Plan on getting our Hybrid done Friday. I will post a couple of pics when done.
I will always get this done on my cars to help preserve the paint...also helps protect the lights from pitting and cracks as well.

I put one on my '08 TCH. I've had them on everything from an 03 G35 Coupe, an 06 Mini S and the TCH. They are great and well worth the money, IMO. I've always paid to have them custom-cut from 24" stock instead of the usual 12"; that typically runs a bit over $500.
Yes , I have the LLumar PrecisionCut Paint Protection System (been on for 3 weeks). I had a local licensed LLUMAR shop do it - took 6+ hours. The "clearbra" paint protection is maintained just like the paint - wash and wax regularly . I'll say at this point - it was very hard to find anyone who knew of Paint Protection much less would install it while backing up their product/work for the lifetime of the car...
The parts of my TCH that were covered are : the 22" Hood w/fender and side mirrors , front lights , Upper bumper , Bumper (the hardest to install) , Roof with A-pillars (stops at sunroof on these) , Rockers and Rear bumper. Did not do doors (more lines) and the online cutouts indicated the grill could be done - they were not comfortable doing the grill.
The "line across the hood" is visible up close but not from a distance. I washed and triple waxed the parts that were to get the paint protection prior to arriving for my appointment. So far the PP has absorbed log-truck flying bark ; love-bugs and flying rocks with no paint chips. The washing is alot easier than trying to scrub off my normal bug pickup. The cost may be prohibitive (a roll of LLumar 2nd Gen. PP has a cost of $1000 wholesale plus the hourly rate to install ) to alot of owners but with the stories I've read of the decreasing Paint Quality and the extreme commute I drive the TCH - I went the PP route instead of Black Bra or nothing ( potentially having to repaint).
There isn't a whole lot of "mods" I will need/want on my TCH but this is one that I was willing to try...Time will tell how it holds up and with the LLumar lifetime guarantee I can have it replaced if needed and the installers (took two people to "mold" the film) said to bring it back to adjust fit/finish/airbubbles. A couple of spots aren't 100% perfect but the procedure is so exact on curving bumbers dust-free that overall I am very Happy with the install , would do it again and it is indeed a clear bra...

i got the dealer to throw in (among other things) Resistall after they jerked me around after 3 visits when trying to pay cash for an instock camry hybrid.
the seam is hardly noticable, but i was advised it is best to do on a new car, or one with no dings yet or the aplication of the product will not be as smooth and clear.
to me, anything is better than those legcy leather "bra" fronts.
i heard dealer applied Simonize is also pretty good
I never heard of the clear bra application for the hood. Does anyone have any pictures. My TCH is on order. My Grand Am's hood is all chipped at the front from rocks. Worse yet, that is where the rust has started (at the chips). How much are you paying for yours?
Ok, got the clear bra installed on Friday by AeroTect in LaVerne (near Pomona Fairgrounds).
They did an AWESOME job...I would take and post pics, but it is virtually invisible and there isn't much to see!
Got the full front wrap with 18" hood piece and A pillars and mirrors and of course the lights.
I highly recommend these guys They use the Venture film which many think is superior to 3M and I couldn't be happier with it.

Just put on Venture shield on my 2009 hybrid, Front and back custom $400, check it out, http://www.ventureshield.com/, pattieman
Why would you put it on the back? Did you install it yourself because $400 is really low for a full front installation, much less front and back...

Can't speak for him , but in my case the top of rear bumper was done (similiar to the camry accessory). This link will show the available coverage using LLumar paint protection (after you fill in the pattern drop-downs): http://www.llumar.com/na-eng/Automotive/auto-paint.aspx
$400 is a great price if that included installation...

I thought $400 was expensive. Why the rear?, I guess u never back up your car. Anybody in the NY Metro area , I'll give the installer name and # , email me

Tell him Ira sent u , u might get something for free.
I paid $400 5 month ago, complete front bumper and grill, headlights and total rear bumper. Prices might be higher since ita a petoleum product. Nice guys, good luck. PM
I had the ventureshield applied to my Scion XB. It cost me around $500 for the hood, fenders, mirrors and bumper. If you get it from the dealer they will charge you an arm and a leg so I don't recommend it. Also if you end up getting the clear bra put on your vehicle make shore the film has a clear top coat finish.
