European Union Questions from France

Hello all.

I'm a French guy moving in August in San Francisco and I would like to ask you two or three questions (sorry for my english guys. Remember: I'm French )

1.Is this really interesting to buy a Camry hybrid with all the options (I'm talking about GPS and satellite radio)
2.Where is the best place to buy my Camry hybrid?
3.As I'm in the process of building a credit history (you are really complicated with this credit history stuff), I was wondering if it's interesting to get a loan from the bank or from the guy I buy my Camry hybrid from (knowing I have enough money (thanks exchange rate) to buy it in cash).

Thanks a lot guys and sorry if my questions are stupid but I was not able to find answers using the search engine of the forum.

Welcome to the TN Forum : Regarding your questions 1 and 2 I'd say : Where ever you can find one... With the daily increases in gasoline prices here in the States - the TCH is getting very hard to find , maybe even soldout with all the options and in the color you desire. Here in the SouthEast the TCH and Prius are in very high demand and if you can find one they are currently both selling at MSRP or more...

Don't know how the inventory in San Fran is , but by August the TCH may also be hard to find in California , much less a "loaded" one...

Regarding your third question - and credit history being the goal : The Toyota Hybrids are usually excluded from any Dealership financing deals and if not they usually charge more than a Credit Union (a member Bank instead of a Corporate Bank). Put 10% down and finance thru a Credit Union for three years and you'll have your credit rating. Also consider getting a Gas Credit Card as a easy way to establish a Credit Rating and pay cash for the TCH...

Good Luck..

A credit union's rates and polices are driven by the members (account holders) where a Bank has stockholders to drive the same (who may or may not be account holders).

Regarding Gasoline Credit Cards - easy to get and is probably the first application a college student gets pushed. Advantages are builds credit , pay at the pump , limits cash needed on hand , and recordkeeping gas purchases.

This link will be useful : http://www.ehow.com/how_2080672_appl...dit-card.html?

I do wonder if other forum members are seeing/hearing of a decreasing supply of TCH's and Prius's in their area ?..
