USA GottaNeedaWanna Camry Hbrid, but when?

A few days ago I went to buy a TCH but the two nearby dealers were sold out." None till July" I was told. Neither salesman seemed very interested in ordering one, just saying come back in July. They did take my name and number, but I haven't heard anything yet. I may be expecting too much ,but don"t salesmen call and at least try to get you to consider another model they have in stock? Both dealerships were friendly and cordial. My question is: are these cars really in that high demand, and if so when will we see release of more, and how do I get only the options and accessories I want. Can you " order one from the factory" ? So far I've met resistance.

Unfortunately, right now for hybrids, it is a sellers market. I am sure so many people come in asking about them, they don't push real hard to sell something that they do not have in stock. They are pretty rare around here as well, and you cannot find one unsold sitting on the lot.

My dealer asked exactly what I wanted and searched within a 500 mile radius and got what I wanted in two days.

Rice has 124 Camrys. None are hybrid.Anybody heard about new release ? Hey Regfetz, when did you buy? I saw them in stock a month ago, and wonder if I'm hitting the cycle of release at the wrong time.

Thanks for replies. The real question is how do I get my dealer to order one? I'm glad to hear they are out there.

My dealer told me to select color inside and out and options I wanted and they would look for it within a 500 mile radius. No charge to me of any kind. In fact, the car I finally got two days later had a couple of options I had not asked for so I got them at the same price I was quoted without the options. I would tell the dealer what other dealers are doing and if they can do the same. They can if they want to do it and they want your business.
