08 Camry Hybrid aux jack sound problem

I've been noticing that the sound on the left speakers goes in and out when playing my iPod on the aux jack. The cable is brand new; I've tried unplugging it and plugging it back in. Seems pretty random; sometimes there's good sound on the left channel and sometimes it just cuts out for no apparent reason. Doesn't matter if it's my iPod or another one; same thing happens. Could this be a problem with the aux jack? CDs and FM/AM seem to work fine....

Thanks.

Was this happening initially?? It might be the cable. Make sure the cable plays stereo. Hope this helps!

yah most likely its your AUX input then.. But sometimes it may just be the cable. Try replacing the cable..

I bet it's your cable... did you try a different cable and made sure that it was inserted all the way? I know you know this but your cable should have 2 black bands on the RCA jack on both ends...
