has anyone tried installing HID's on their TCH? is it easy to install and do you have to connect anything to the battery?

I just installed them with TSX Projectors. You DO need to add a harness with relays. If you do a plug and play kit, it should be easy. If you do the TSX route it will take you a few hours!

what are the harness with relays for?

if im just going to plug and play the Hid's without the harness with relays what is the difference?

I have installed 2 sets of the new small ballast fully electronic/digital units on 2009 camry's

With the electronic/digital units, you do not get the massive start up requirement as in the regular ballasts.

Although they run at about a little less then 3 amps when warm they require upwards to 20 amps when starting/warming up, and this is why the relay kit would be required, when using the convential ballasts.

The digital units are about 3/8" thick and very easy to install, although the polarity wiring was reversed, no real big deal just reverse the connectors.

i purchased my hid lights from an auto show in chicago,illinois... paid about 120 bucks. did self installation. it was very simple and easy. took me about 20min and i was done.
