Mountain Driving?

I just bought a 09 Camry Hybrid and I'm wondering if anyone here has ever taken their TCH over the Rockies? I'm going to be driving from Michigan to San Francisco and I'm wondering how the cars going to handle it. Any suggestions or tales of mountain crossings?

I took mine through the WV mountains a week ago and it did fine. Your MPG tank if you want to go up a hill fast! I managed to get 39MPG there and 43MPG back.

The rockies are a little bit bigger than the WV mountains-I heard from my friends who just went through the Rockies that their car had real problems. But it was only a 4-cylinder Focus which may have been part of the problem.

The focus prob has a better HP per LB than the TCH!

We went over the Rockies with both a 2000 Corolla and a 2001 Sentra... both did fine even loaded, but it depends how "fast" you need to be. The TCH with a 2.4 and electric motor should be fine. For some reason the Corolla and Sentra got some crazy mileage in those parts... something like 45mpg. It must be the gas, haha.
