problem with aux input jack

sorry to make a new thread about this but ive scoured the internet and havent been able to come up with any answers or seem to find anyone having a similar problem. first off the aux input jack works fine in terms of functionality. the interesting problem i am having is that if i plug my ipod in and listen to it first, before i listen to a cd in the cd player, there is a very noticeable boost in the low frequencies. if i switch over to the cd player for a second and turn it up a decent amount and then switch back to the aux input, the low boost is gone and it sounds completely normal, how it should soon. this consistently happens every single time i use it, its almost like some sort of loudness boost. it is such an interesting problem that i cant seem to find any information about. i have definitely troubleshooted it as much as i can in terms of using different cables, different ipods, making sure the volume on the ipod is set right, the eq is flat, etc, but it happens every single time and the only thing that fixes it is listening to the cd player at a reasonable volume then switching over, for example if i listen to the cd player first and then switch to aux input, it sounds fine. its only when i listen to the aux input first that the low boost is there. anyone have any similar problems or feedback?

That is very strange indeed. I wish I could help you, but mine does not have a problem no matter what order I fire up the CD or iPod. If you consistently reproduce the issue, perhaps it is a defect on your car. I would recommend a dealer visit.

Not sure if its the same cause, but its kinda like whenever I plug my headphones into the computer while its playing something. It may just be a connection thing, but not necessarily a flaw.

it has nothing to do with plugging it in though, i can leave the ipod plugged in and it still does it. when i turn on the car and and just turn the ipod on and press play, it sounds like i described.
