TCH Wiper Blade Replacements ???

I did some searching , found installation threads in Gen 5/6 but didn't find an aftermarket wiper thread so I'll start one here...

I'm still a ways from needing to replace my stock wiper blades but was wondering from TCH owners that have replaced their wiper blades - What Brand did you buy and were you happy...The little online aftermarket hunting I did , it looks like the Trico Neoform and the Rain-X Latitude wipers most match the stock "look". The drivers side is 24" and Passenger side is 20". I have not priced Toyota replacements (which may be the best choice?) but the above look like +-$40 delivered.

So for those that have passed the mileage/time to need replacement wipers - let us know your purchase story...

Gen6

Just ordered Valeo Ultimate from tirerack.com.

Buy 1 get 1 free, so 2 for 19.95 plus shipping = $28.33 for me.

http://www.valeowipersusa.com/index.asp?pgid=19

Factory inserts are $8 + shipping. Factory wiper blades complete are $36 + shipping for Japan made and $45 + shipping for US made Camrys.

I replaced my '09 TCH blades with the Silblade Flexblade. Check it out at www.silblade.com. I have boughts these for my previous car and my wife's car. They are silicone blades (vs. rubber). They leave a thin layer of silicone on the winshield and works kind of like RainX. It works great and wipes cleanly. Plus they come with a 5yr warranty.

I originally tried to replace the blade refill with silblades'. But that did not work. The OEM TCH wipers are wider than standard wiper refills, so they fell off after a short bit of trying them out. So I got the Silblade flexblades. I highly recommend them.

TTT - I replaced @ 15k Dealer Service with Toyota Wipers. Now @ 27k and I'm not real happy with them. Four Brands were mentioned last year... I have used PIAA on other vehicles with great performance thru 50k. I'm going with a pair (24"/20") other than stock.

So I bring this thread back and Ask again - What Brands of wipers are you replacing on your TCH's and what are your impressions/opinions...

Gville,

I'm still putting Bosch Icons on all of my cars. They give good service, look nice and have not given me cause to look elsewhere.

I'd vote for the Icons too. I put them on my TCH within days of getting it to cut down on wind noise. They do that, and, of course, function beautifully as wipers.

TTT . I bought these in 2009 and finally decided to replace my 2nd pair of TCH stock wipers 30 days ago. With all the rain we have had in that span , they got a good workout . I am extremely happy with my new wiper blades so I thought I'd post again - Both to Thank those who suggested these and share my pleasure with others looking to replace their wiper blades...

My replacements are :
One BOSCH ICON 424a for drivers side (24") and
One BOSCH ICON 420a for passenger side (20").

They work very smooth (even on dry glass- oops) ; look really good ; leave no marks (as in passenger blade at the stop point on the glass in-front of the driver) ; install fine without an adapter. As I recall I paid $18 and $16 respectively.

I'll add my recommendation and will purchase these again when the time comes...

ANCO wiper blades which were highly rated and recommended by Consumer Reports are on sale at Amazon. Dealnews notification:
http://dealnews.com/Anco-Windshield-...-h/353366.html
Note that the passenger one is listed as fitting but not the Driver one. However, other brands that show as fitting are also highly rated.

I have recently installed the Rain-X Latitude blades. I find them expensive, but actually very much worth the higher price. I have never found wipers that I am this happy with.
