Hello everyone. I'm Tim and I'm new to the forums. Just bought the wife an '08 Prius a couple of weeks ago, now I have the Hybrid fever. I have been making plans to order a Hybrid Camry from my local dealer, but after looking on the Toyota website, it looks like you can't get the Hybrid Camry with Black leather. Is this true? No black leather? Thanks for the help.

You are correct, you can not get black leather in the hybrid model. Your interior colors are gray and beige. (I think Toyota calls them ash and bisque)
Welcome to the hybrid community. Make sure you also check out greenhybrid.com for hybrid-specific information. They have lots of information on both the Prius and the Camry Hybrid.
If you end up getting a Camry Hybrid, you'll love it!
Good luck, and I look forward to seeing you around Toyotanation!

I would recommend not being so quick to immediately change your plans on exterior color. My original desire was also to have black on black but when I found that wasn't possible I looked closer at the Ash. While it's not not black, it's still dark and looks very sharp with the black exterior. Plus, it keeps the interior a lot cooler than black leather was. I know it's not what you originally wanted but it's something to consider due to the pros and cons, plus, i promise you, it looks sharp.
Tpait, that is the exact car I bought last night! (except mine's an '08) It is a great colour, very classy looking imo.
I plan on getting the invisi-shield and some body side moldings first off to protect it from dings and chips. The weather-tech floormats look like a good investment as well.
I might be a little biased but I like your choice of Mag Grey and ash....
The Weather Tech floor liners are a lot better than anything else I have seen and also come in a light grey that matches the ash interior. I don't know about their mats but after using the liners, they should be great.
They didn't have the exact one I wanted. I have an appointment today to go over what I want, and what I want added. Is it best to do your mods at the dealer, or wait and let someone else take care of it. I know it's more expensive at the dealer, but what's the ideal way? New tires and wheels, spoiler, ground effects, grill replacement. I've heard everyone has had problems adding new springs because of the weight of the batteries. Thanks for the replies.
I liked doing the mods myself, saved lots of money. Not difficult if you take your time. Fog lights, ground effects, rear spoiler were a must for us as we like a sportier look.
Well, as I am going to be heading to Iraq for a while, I think I'm going to wait until to 2010's come out. The plan is to have my wife go to the dealership around April and hopefully it will be in when I get home at the beginning of July. The 2010's should be out around that time, right?

Be safe in Iraq and when you come back you can buy your Gen 6.5 Hybrid.
Stay safe in Iraq. I know several people who have been or are currently deployed. I appreciate the sacrifices all who serve our country make.
As for the 2010 TCH, are there any changes you know of? I have not seen anything on the 2010 yet. Do you have a color picked out yet? We were lucky enough to buy ours just before the bottom feel out and there was a run on them. We got it $2250 below sticker, not a great deal, but a fair deal.
No NAV, have a Garmin, makes more sense, than the markup on the car, since we can use it in any car.
I do not have any info on the 2010 Camry...but if anyone does, please feel free to share.
Info on the internet seems to be pretty limited at this point too. I just don't see the point in getting an 09 now, and it basically sitting in the driveway until I get home. If the 2010's come out as early in the year as the 09's, then that's what I'll go with.
*crosses fingers for black/dark gray leather in the 2010 Camry Hrbrid*
