CD info display on Nav Screen - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

My wife just bought a couple CD's over the weekend. When she loads them she gets unknown for Artist and Song detail. We have an 09 Camry Hybrid with Navigation. It would seem that on newer "store bought" CD's this information should be displayed.

Nope. You'll be surprised (well I guess you already are) that store-bought CDs don't come with CD-TEXT. Well, a good number of them don't. A few of them do.

The best way is to copy that CD into your own and burn it with CD-TEXT.

Most of my wife's music is in a iTune library. When I recently created CD's (that displayed Artist and Song details within iTunes) the burned disc did not display the detail I was after.............did I not set something correctly?

Ensure that "CD-TEXT" is enabled (there usually is a check box somewhere, and again usually with the disc details) assuming that iTunes have a CD-TEXT option. (I use Nero for my CDs)

+1 I use Nero also and my cds in mp3 or audio format display text on my nav also on any head unit that has text button.
