Blackberry 9530

I have a Blackberry "Storm" 9530 I am trying to pair with the hands-free Bluetooth phone device in my 2007 TCH. with navigation.
I am not having much success.
The Bluetooth device in the car will recognize the cell phone but will not register or pair the device with hands-free feature incorporated in the cars navigation/ radio system.
Has any forum member with the same phone been able to successfully link or pair their phone with the hands-free feature in the Toyota radio / navigation system?
If so please post info on how you were able to accomplish the pairing
Thank you

Are you getting to the prompt for the 'code' that the in-car generates? Is is the phone going out of 'discovery mode' too quickly? Or is the in-car not getting you that far?
Also, who's the provider - Verizon (for one) "customizes" certain features on their phones to where they're more limited. You should also verify that you're running the latest phone "firmware", as released by the provider.

Blackberry 9530

Thanks' for the response!
Yes I am able to get the in car Bluetooth set up to recognize that the phone is there.
I enter the four digit passkey code when prompted and the in car hands-free searches for the phone however after a brief search the in car screen displays "unable to connect with device"
I had a Motorola RAZR phone prior to this Blackberry and had absolutely no trouble in getting it set up with the hands free.
I have talked with Verizon (my cell server) and they are of minimum help and can offer no workable fix.
I am hoping that some member of the forum has this same phone and has been able come up with a workaround to solve the connectivity problem.
Any input for a solution would be appreciated.
Thank you

I was able to pair my Storm 9530 either in the phone or media player mode, but not for both of them

Don't have the BB; I have a Samsung Omnia.

Is the Cell Phone made "visible" to other Blue Tooth devices? There is a box to be checked somewhere on that cell phone to allow that; usually allow is for a few minutes. This is in addition to turning Cell Phone Blue Tooth to ON. You may want to double-check that it is enabled and visible. If not, it won't mate up with the TCH.

I assume since this is such and old post you have this working now? If not, write me back as I have this exact sysytem and mine works well with my S1. I have Verizon, but that shouldn't make any difference.

Had the same problem with my cell phone. While searching the web I found a solution that worked for me. After entering the code, and while still in the pairing mode, initiate a call with the phone. Don't know why but as soon as I did this everything connected properly.
