Sirius Radio Reception

I have Sirius radio on my 2009 hybrid and the reception is usually not great. On most roads, it goes in and out - on my other car, I receive good satellite reception on the same roads. Is there anyway to improve reception through a setting on the NAV/radio? I once had a problem with my calls being heard on bluetooth and someone on this board provided directions for getting into the NAV/radio system and making an adjustment which solved the problem. Any similar procedure?

Is your antenna mounted on the inside of the windsheild to the right of the rearview mirror? That is where mine is and I get drop outs from time to time. That is a terrible place to put it, they should have put it in the roof, outside the car.

Sirius has three satellites that run in a figure 8 pattern over North and South America, if you are listening during the time that there is a handoff, you are more likely to lose the signal bacause of poor antenna placement, trees, heavy coluds etc.
