2007 hybrid no start with aux battery charged

hey all, i have a 2007 toyota camry hybrid, used for an auto tech program, (we dont focus on hybrids) and our in house hybrid will not start, the auxilary battery is charged, but the vehicle will only go into the ACC mode, (p.s. my mom has the same car, and i know how to start it), and when i depress the brake and the start light turns green, i press it and the vehicle turns back off... and we have had this problem for about a week...

the main HV battery is about half charged, according to the camry...

any suggestions, other tests or anything that you guys think might help, would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks

USA Low/dead battery

I don't know if this will help. We have a 2007 TCH, which we left in the garage while gone 3 months. While I did put fresh gas and fuel stabilizer in before we left, I did not disconnect the main battery in the trunk. The interior light was dim and the car would not "start." I didn't find any way to check the battery level from the displays. I followed the manual's directions to jump start it from our other Camry, and was able to move it to the other side of the garage where I connected an automatic trickle charger to it overnight. By morning it was charged and working fine. BTW, the low battery did not keep the engine running to charge it as I thought it should. Service tech at local Toyota dealer said hybrid batteries can discharge if not driven for 2 weeks. Are you sure the battery is half-charged.

Have you checked the brake switch? If it's 'off', the requirement to press on the brake pedal to ge to the 'ready' mode won't be met.
