Hi there.
My 2009 Camry Hybrid did not come with factory fog lights and the dealer said I can't install these after the fact.
Is there any truth to that?

No, but it is quite complicated if you want OEM style fog lights. Other than that you can buy a set on eBay made for the TCH and it comes with a relay and it's own on and off switch, as compared to swapping out the entire light stalk and having to pull the steering wheel, airbag etc. My 2 cents worth. I looked into it and decided it was more hassel than worth and wife didn't care, it's her car anyway.

I had fog lights and HIDS installed on my 2008 TCH and it wasn't a hassle at all. Don't listen to those who say its too much trouble. Its cheap to do.. I bought the fogs off EBay for $50 and had it installed for $100... The final product is a huge improvement over the plain-jane TCH I bought.
Don't believe me? Check out the pics on my CarDoamin page at the link below...
Let me know if you have any question and I can help you out on this quest...

Hey rocketace,
Your TCH is awsome. I love the new look the improvements have made. The grill and the wheels would most likely be out of my price range but I for one would be interested in hearing more about the fog light installation. Nice ride, Rick
Thanks for the compliments.... Unfortunately I do not have pics of the install cos I had it done at an audio shop here in San Diego. I watched as the guy put it together... There are no wiring harness for the fogs, so they ran the wires to the LOW beam so that when I turn on the lows, the fogs are also on. The HIDs were pretty straight-forward... Remove the projector lens, replace the halogen bulbs with the HIDs, connect the ballast to the frame, put back the lens and voila you are done. HIDs cost me $100 from ModExpress and I've had them for 18 months now with no single problem. The only downside is if you don't modify the lens, you'll have glare to oncoming traffic at night. Oh well, you cannot have it all...

I installed fog lights and a ground effects kit myself with no real problems. Just took my time and it was woth it. Purchased the both off Ebay. I installed a switch for the fog lights also as the stalk replacement was not worth the problems. The finished product was great.
To all those that have done:
Please post part #'s and pictures.
Thanks!
There are no Part #s cos its not a TCH accessory... As for pictures, click on the link in "My Car Site" in my sig file below to see my TCH. Hope this helps

Sorry, I don't get on this forum much. I don't have the part number for the lights. Look on Ebay for OEM or OEM style fog lights for the Camry. I paid about $60 for mine and the only difference is they do not work off the stalk, I put in a separate switch. I can run them whenever I want. Very nice since I live in the country and commute 35 miles each way daily. Lots of fog out here where I live.
I pulled the power from the main lug on the fuse panel under the hood and ran it through a relay. The switch power I pulled from the auxiliary power hookup on the console through the switch, which feeds the relay to power the relay to send the main power, supplied from the main lug, to the lights. That way I can never accidently leave them on since the aux power goes off with the car. There was no wiring diagram with the lights, so you have to have some experience to install them, but it is not hard if you have done any wiring. The hardest part was feeding the wires through the firewall.

Do you have pics of your ride to post here? I'd like to see the Razzi kits, and the simulated dual-exhaust setup you got on your Hybrid... pretty pls?
