I Pod in 2009 NAV PACKAGE

I can't see the IPOD connectivty as part of 2009 Nav Package. It lists Bluetooth but no reference to IPOD. It does show as part of 2010 package. Is it included in 2009 Chicago Region package? Salesman said just plug it into dash and plays thru car speakers....but I don't see it listed as part of package.

IPOD interface is located inside the cubby underneath the A/C controls behind the door. However, it is an option that must be installed by the dealer.

You can buy it http://www.trdsparks.com/index.php here or go to your dealer. The dealer will likely charge around $600.

There are also 3rd party solutions that are better than the Toyota OEM.

I was seriously considering having the iPod interface installed for use by my iPhone music. Recently after updating the iPhone to ver.3.0 to my surprise the iPhone now connects to the Nav unit through bluetooth and will play my music without any physical connection.
