Removing the engine cover

I want to take the engine cover off my '08 TCH and paint it. Does it just pull off or is there something holding it on?

There are 2 10 mm nut holding it to the valve cover. The cover should come off (nothing holding it) after you remove that 2 nut.

Probably white. Someone else on this forum painted his and it looked pretty good. Considered "Carolina Blue" but think white will look better.
