Window Crud

I don't know if this has been talked about before but here goes. When I open the window on my 2009 TCH there is always a line of Crud along the top where the window slides against the weather strip. I can clean the strip and the window and before long the Crud is back. The dealer just says wipe it off with alcohol or put some WD-40 on the weatherstrip. They conflict in their answers. When I try to open the window on cold days I think the glass will break since it sticks to the Crud. Has anyone found a way to keep the black Crud off the top 1/2" of the glass???

Crud

Apparently Robb does since he posted almost exactly the same Crud complaint at the same time on the Green Hybrid web site!

Does anyone else have the following issue. At the tops of my side windows, there is a very hard build up of something that seems to come from inside the weatherstripping. It is so hard that it won't wash off. I have to use a razor blade to remove it. I have tried several things to reduce it, but to no avail. I asked the dealer, and they suggested I keep the tops of the windows coated with silicone so it would come off easier??? Thanks!

Robb

I have the exact same problem. On hot days the window sticks to the weatherstripping and makes a loud snapping sound when opened. Whats up with that! 08 TCH.
