Disc/Aux button won't work on Audio

Suddenly the Disc/Aux button is not working on my audio system. I plug in my ipod as usual and then press Disc/Aux, but nothing happens. The podcast plays on the ipod, but I don't go to Disc/Aux mode so I can't hear it. I stay in the mode I was in before (FM or whatever). Is this just a problem with the button?

Also, I notice "BT" (for BlueTooth) is displayed on the screen. I hadn't noticed it displayed before. Might this have something to do with the Disc/Aux button not working?

Try pressing the MODE button on the steering wheel and see if it changes to Aux. If it does then the button is toast, if it doesn't then is a connection problem.

Also, are there any discs in the changer? If not try and put one in. If it then switches to disc, then your iPod connector is not connected anymore.

Keep us posted so others can learn in the future.

Thank you, cdn_tch! After I posted, I had tried inserting a CD at my husband's suggestion, found that it worked, and then discovered that the ipod cord had come loose. When will I learn to check whether the thing is plugged in?!
