TCH brakes: When are they hydraulic?
Been debating with a guy on the system design of the TCH brake system.
My arguement is that regardless of what happens with the electronic there is always, 100% of the time, a convnetional hydraulic system to slow you down. So, may questions are:
1. Is the TCH brake pedal mechanicly connected to fluid reseviour
2. Is there and speed at which the ca is is beind stopped solely by the electric regenerative motor?
3. Are the rear hydraulic brakes always in operation?
His arguement is that the TCH relies on its hybid for barking, exclusively, at speeds above 30mph. I countered by saying that if I were going 100mph and slam the brakes on I'd be getting some hydraulic interation as well.
What say ye?
