New Accelerator

I recently went to the dealer upon their request for the TCH recall. They ground the accelerator off and said good-bye. I was under the impression they were to eventually replace it with a new one. I called the dealer and the service manager almost laughed in my face and said they would not replace the accelerator. After contacting Toyota and Toyota contacting the dealer and continued prodding, the dealer reluctantly replaced the accelerator today. I can't imaging all the TCH owners accepting a ground down accelerator on their new car and not complaining. Complain and get a new one!

I just had the recall completed on my 2009 TCH.. There is a recall kit "PK90L Recall Kit" as well as two additional parts, "78118-41010 Stopper, Accelerator" and "04009-52106 Tibia Pad Assembly". Think I'd be looking for another dealer. In addition my dealer checked to make sure floor mats were properly secured as well as cleaning the carpet!

Not Mike Smith Toyota of Paducah, Kentucky. I had to get Toyota to get the pedal replaced and when they did the recall all they did was grind off the pedal and NEVER touched the floor under the mats or anything else.

GREAT dealer service!
