4 Cd Disc Changer?

i got my 2007 TCH with nav head unit yesterday.
here's a stupid question. display shows only FOUR cds in the changer; spits out only 4; i can load only 4. manual says it can take up to six, and dealer is not aware of any such thing as 4 disc changer.

am i doing something wrong? or it's bust and the seller "forgot to mention"? he thinks it's a 4 disc changer. otherwise, works good. after 4th cd loaded, lid closes the cd slot, and i can not put another one in, or something. feels like a wall in the slot. i had them cds in and out many times, same result. shows 4 on display, eject all ejects only 4 out, so i don't think seller left any inside.

Simply amazing......................the NAV is a 4 CD changer, the JBL w/o unit is a 6 CD, the base unit is 1 CD.........so many people that know little.

The Owners Manual is very clear and the dealer is clueless....

though i appreciate clarification, and expertise, this remark "so many people that know little" might have been unnecessary.

thank you for your help.

I think ukrkoz is correct. Forums should be to help people who have questions. Maybe you know "everything" "?" but some of us do have legitimate questions and would surely appreciate a civilized answer without sarcasm or making one feel stupid. When questions are answered with sharp tongues it then limits those of us who want to know more by asking those who know the answers and we look for their opinion and answers. If you are not willing to help others find another forum. Respect for each other seems lost in today's world.

thank you. this is a very thoughtful post.

as of capital letters, only continuous use of caps is considered rude and yelling. not using them is not offensive at all, and for one who types with 2 fingers - much faster.

unless i am blind, i could not find any info in user manual about differences between the 3 systems, and i spent extra time with it, after i read about it being clearly stated in manual. when i came back home, i found dealer original window sticker for the car, and it did say 4 cd changer.
thank you all for your posts, hope we had good laughs here - along with some useful info.

well, hijacking my own thread - but i had my 1st introduction to the engine. i have all my cars retrofitted with K&N air filters. did same today for my TCH. took only 20 minutes to put one bolt in air filter housing cover back in. new wisdom to learn. before i get condescending responses - keep in mind, i have been DIYing my cars since 1989, and, except major electrical repairs, can do anything mechanical, down to disassembling and reassembling engines. but that little bolt....

I think the guys meant "Capitalising". < And that's the correct spelling for you pedantic types (see my location).

Plenty of those about. Some just shouldn't be allowed to work in a dealership.
