Extended Warranty on TCH

I have a 2009 TCH but it currently has 39,000 miles. Would I qualify for a Toyota extended warranty since I have exceeded the basic 36,000 mile coverage but the car is only 2 years old.

If I am still eligible, any recommendations as to who is offereing the best deals these days on the platinum coverage?

Thanks.

I wasn't going to purchase it from my dealer if it were available. There are many other dealerships which sell online at very attractive rates. I just thought someone in this forum would know.

I have since found out, that unfortunately, I would not qualify for the extended warranty.

I found a dealer that sold extended warranties online for Toyota products. We used him to extend the warranty of my wife's 2009 Prius when it was at about 18,000 miles. He told me then to tell every friend I had that owned a toyota to BEWARE.... You can only extend a toyota warranty while it is still under the original warranty..... SO THAT IS THE ANSWER... more than 36000 or 3 yrs and we are all out of luck. Of course many of them want a picture of the odometer.. and then another of the VIN if you do the transaction online..... that would mean honestly No you cannot do this.

Hands down the most popular dealer on extended warranties for TN members is Jerry Johnson. For more information on where and how to contact Jerry, click on the extended warranty link in this thread.

Once you pass 3 years or 36K miles, you can't get a Toyota Platinum warranty.

This guy has some discounted Toyota warranties.I've bought one from him in the past.

I know Troy.. used him for my wife's Prius.... He wil want you to determine which warranty is best for you... 6/75K - 6/100K etc.... He will ask what day you bought the car, and determine the monthly miles you put on it (Avg) then figure outif it is worth the extra 2-300 for you to get the extra milake in your extansion. He then had us take pics of the VIN plate, and the Odometer, and send them with a copy of the original purchase paperwork (so he had an in service date)... He then started the warranty best for us... instead of just the most expensive one.... and we were on our way. For my wife's Prius the dealer we bought it at wanted $1980..... Troy got it for us at a huge discount..... less than $1000. Worked well for us... gave us piece of mind if the darn electronics screw up or something.... I would use TROY again, except on our 2011 Camry the dealer said ther was a promo going for the dealers through toyota.... He claimed the warranty was "Supposed to be" $1499... but if I bought it then.... he would give us a discount.... I himmed and hawed knowing about TROY... SO it dropped to $1000.... I still was hesitant, so he (accounting-wise) added another $250 to my downpayment... saying that he could not lower it below $1000 and get credit with Toyota... SO I got it for $750 for a 6-100K platinum plan....
FOr those of you that are skeptical (as was I).... I got the paperwork for the plan.... I know what came out as my downpayment, and I know that no more was financed....SO apparently he did what he neded to so that the dealership would get the sales credit. HMMM....
