HELP -Stereo buttons not working

Hiya. I've got a 2007 Camry Hybrid that just passed the 3 year warranty period and, of course, I'm suddenly having problems with the stereo which is no longer covered by warranty.

So the problem is that the Disc and Aux buttons on the stero appear to be dead. All of the other buttons work fine so I can listen to AM and FM radio but when I push the Disc or Aux buttons...Nuthin'!

Has anyone else had this problem?
Any idea what is causing it?
Any idea how to fix it?
Any idea what it would cost to fix?

Thanks in advance for all your amazing suggestions.

Chops

My stereo in my 2009 LE acts funny sometimes but it has always snapped out of it. I am expecting it to die and when it does I am just going to go aftermarket.

I didn't find anything specific to your stereo but the local service manager told me stereo trouble is common. If you have already mentioned it too them before the warranty was up Maybe they will still do something?

Howdy.

I didn't mention it to them before the warranty was up and they sure aren't interested in helping out for anything less than $110/hour.

Things is my car is very low mileage, only 26,000 km in 3 years, yet the stereo has crapped out. That tells me it was defective to begin with. That makes me wonder if this isn't a known issue for Toyota. Maybe I can find a local service manager who will tell me more about this. As far as I'm concerned if their stereos are known to break down after so little use they need to do something about it, warranty or not. Not saying they will, just that they should.

Electro-mechanical components fail, get over it.

Toyota isn't going to warranty everything forever.

Buy a replacement unit on EBAY, install it and enjoy................
