Glove Box damper - reattach top end

My glove box damper came out altogether when I replaced the cabin air filter (forgot to remove it from the little tab)

Does anyone know how to reattach the damper at the top end . .not on post on the glove box.?

I did the same thing......works fine without it..... I put mine away and all is fine without it.....
