I am curious, after talking with a friend that has an 09 LE about the subject, what's the age demographic for these cars? I sought out and bought my first Camry (1999 XLE Special Edition) at 17 years old, while most people my age were after celicas and civics and 240sx's, I opted for a smooth, reliable ride. I got my TCH only 3 days after my 22nd birthday. Am I the youngest one on here? How old are you guys?

Sounds like you are a younger version of me. I'm currently 27. I got my first Camry when I turned 18, and purchased my hybrid when I was 25.

Good to hear i'm not the only one! I would like to own a sportier car someday, but only for special occasions... I'll always be a camry guy! until i can afford an ES that is... or need a sienna =0

I'm "older". My first car was a 1955 Plymouth V8 (red with black top).

Now we have 2008 TCH
2009 Corvette Z06
2010 Subaru Forester

It's an interesting mix!

That's awesome! Bet you wish you still had that... I wish I still had my first car. 1994 Saturn sc2. The 99 camry was my favorite car so far though. So I am still the youngest TCH owner haha. I can't wait to see the 2012 assuming that's the new body

Got my TCH four years ago when I was 35. I drove a 5 speed stick, Ford Probe GT for 11 years before that!

traded my 06 infiniti g35x for a 10 tch... way better mpg.... age 27

That's quite a trade. I don't know what I want for my next car. I want another hybrid because of the smoothness, although our solara is really smooth and quiet with the 3.3 liter. I guess I'd be very content if there was a Lexus es hybrid... I am not crazy about the hs. Hyundias Sonota hybrid looks nice, so does the new Infiniti M hybrid, both have 6 speed automatics but are still full hybrids. I can't afford the M so that's out. Maybe an old ls600hl? Any thoughts?? Hopefully my TCH will be nice with 250k on it cause I don't wanna buy until 2015 at the soonest...

I'm 52 and have had my 11 TCH only since May. Sold my 02 BMW 525 when I finally figured out that I was paying my mechanic's child's college tuition.

During one of the many times I had that piece of crap BMW in the shop, my mechanic loaned me a Prius for a couple of day. I loved it. When I asked how they were in terms of reliability and maintenance, he said that if everyone drove Toyota hybrids, he would be broke.

Within a week, I was driving my new TCH!

Haha nice! Bmws are expensive to maintain. The VP of sales for my company had a 525 and just showed up to our last meeting with a 2011 535i xdrive. Beautiful car... But I almost switched him to a Toyota product! I hope your mechanic is right cause I have 68,000 on the odo and need to get another 5 years from it

Well congrats and good luck with it! I will warn you of this: in areas with alot of snow and the need for heat, you'll see a crazy drop is mileage. I am in Rochester NY, home of lake effect snow, and right now I am getting 33 average! I get almost 43 in the summer! Anyway, enjoy the car!
