REMOVING/REPLACING Driver's Side Mirror on 08 Camry Hybrid

My mirror was knocked off by another driver this morning and is hanging by the wires. I want to remove it so it doesn't scratch the paint. Does anyone have instructions on how to do this?

I think its simple but haven't found anything reliable online yet. Thanks!!!

It is pretty easy to fix this:

1. Pry off the triangle plastic cover.

2. Inside are three bolts with with a nut on each. Just use a socket wrench to remove the three nuts.

3. Unclip the plastic wire clip

I should warn you though that this is going to leave a hole to the outside which you will need to temporarily seal with plastic/tape and then re-attache the plastic cover until you get a new mirror. You will have some significant wind noise until you replace it.
