Buzzing a minute or so after shutdown

Never noticed this noise because I've never sat in the Camry after shutting down the engine.
Sat in the car waiting for someone after shutting it down a minute or so later,I heard a buzzing noise for a second or two.Sounds like it's coming from under the car toward the front.

Not to worry....they all do this. It is the hybrid system adjusting itself. Not sure what is actually happening, but I AM sure it is normal. My hybrid is a 2007 and does something like you are describing every time I shut down. Enjoy your new car.

It's normal. Happens to mine and every other Toyota Hybrid I've driven.

Like they said - normal. We have two TCH's and they both do it.

I once heard (but didn't verify) that the Prius pumps one of its fluids into an insulated reservoir to keep it warm between starts - therefore using less energy next time - but I was also told the TCH doesn't do this. But I *will* say that the engine in the TCH warms up mighty fast.
