Car seat coverrs on Hybrid, same or different from other Camry's?

Can anyone clear this up for me. I was looking at car seat covers on Coverking and they told me they do not carry the rear seat cover for the hybrid. They stated that the rear seat in the hybrid IS different from the other Camrys so I cannot use the rear seat cover from a regular Camry in a Hybrid.

However, in pictures they look the same. Can someone confirm or deny this?

Thanks!

it should be different dues to different seat design. you have battery cooling system behind the driver side rear seat backrest. the whole entire trunk panels there is different plus the rear shelf design.

but! to make it fool proof, go to dealership. look up part number for rear seat cover for regular camry and for hybrid. if they are the same - bingo! if they are not - tough! some things are same, some are very different on those models.

Thanks unfortunately I will check with the dealer. Unfortunately no one seems to carry nice rear seat covers for the Hybrid, not even the dealer. So i was hoping the rear seat cover from a regular camry would fit.

1. did you try Katskin?
2. salvage yards; but they will not sell you covers only. whole seats, and seats are PRICEY.
3. have little doubt with a good skilled friend and good sewing machine, OEM regular Camry covers can be modified to fit.

hey, let me make sure we are talking same animal here. you want to put leather on, or just nice aftermarket covers?

Oh I think there is a confusion. I am not talking about the OEM upholstery on the seats themselves. I am looking for the aftermarket covers that go over the seats to protect them. Similar to this...

Right, I want the aftermarket protective covers, like you find at the autoparts store but custom fit for the Camry. I have kids in and out of my car all of the time and it is beginning to take a beating.

yeah, i got it. even for leather, dogs and spilled drinks ....

that site does not have ones for Camry though. i was just trying to figure out how much of a hassle is it to make them fit.
you have to have holes punched for headrests and proper bench split. otherwise, they are basically elastic in the back, and if they overlap well, i do not see why they won't fit. now, only pass side of the backrest folds, so you may end up with physical backrest removal to get covers over.
personally, things like this should be tried starting with walmart or local parts store. you can try, figure it out, and RETURN them. then order what you NOW know will work off internet.

hey, what's wrong with g'ol mafia style plastic spreads? just kidding.

These are the ones I was looking at. They cover the entire seat and they have the front seats for the Hybrid but not the rear seat. They DO have both front and rear seat covers for the non-Hybrid Camry but they told me the rear seat cover will not fit the Hybrid. That is why I was wondering what is different?

they don't have good pics for rears.
personally, i have little doubt i could make them work, but i have industrial sewing machine and all kinds of materials in my shop. you seriously want to try it via a local store with good return policy. you taking huge chance of having a major headache with online purchase. btw, local stores have online price match. so you lose nothing.
